Really?!

So, I opened my gmail account today to find a confirmation of my order from Nine West, huh? Oh righhhhhhhhht, now I remember. Last night after consuming more than twice my normal evening allotment of wine, I was conducting yet another installment of my months-long clog search, and I guess I just threw in the towel.

Since they were just $19.99, I suppose it's not that bad - I've done A LOT more damage with late-night, slightly drunken internet shopping. What I really want are these - but that's simply more than I can afford. I guess I'll see soon enough, but the truth is, all clogs are not created equal...

From Style.com

I guess my logic was "cheap clogs are better than none at all".
So this blog is hysterical, especially this post.

And, I don't know about many of you, but I have real time management problems, and though this map is sort of "mom" focused (which works for me), is actually really helpful.

Today - etsy photos. For sure.

Dress

I don't know if anyone else took advantage of Gilt's Vena Cava sale last week...I certainly did, and I couldn't be happier my new dress! The print and fit are fabulous! And I think it'll be really versatile, which is important to me.

Wore it to work today - added a t shirt underneath to combat the death chill I get from working in the coldest building on the planet.

The designers of Vena Cava are absolutely darling. I think their design concepts are unique and inspired and their clothes are totally wearable. And I like blog, they just seem like smart, cool , quirky girls who would be fun to run around with.

I've obsessed over this feature of Lisa Mayock's apartment from Design Sponge forever. The print her kitchen/dining chairs is awesome - I've been looking for something similar since I saw this. So, needless to say, I'm really excited to own one of their designs.

An etsy update soon! Pretty dresses, and some awesome plaids!

I'll Swap Ya

I don't know why I've never done this before, but a friend and I did a little clothing swap yeserday, and while she walked away with 2 bags of stuff (mostly old blouses/pants that I just NEVER wear) - I scored a few really vintage great pieces, which in my opinion is a fair trade off.

  • A printed floral blouse which I've always coveted.

  • A little 70s top that I think will look great with high waist shorts in the summer.

  • Sort of ethnic tunic/mini dress...which I'm not real sure about.

  • Black high neck blouse, which is great because I don't have a black blouse at all.

And this wrap sweater I wore today - attempting to not look granola momish...

I highly recommend clothes swaps! Especially when they're complete with coffee and chocolate, then switching to wine and chocolate. Future clothes swappers are a nice addition as well!

Had some great luck yesterday and will be adding great new things to the shop soon, below is a shoe preview.
